BRECKEN SIGG, PA-C
Brecken Sigg was raised just south of the Kansas City metropolitan area in Louisburg, KS. She attended the University of Kansas and obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training. While at KU, she cared for many student-athletes, ranging from high school athletics to the division-I collegiate level. This was where her love for sports medicine began.
Following graduation, she attended a post-graduate Athletic Training residency program in Chicago, IL, focusing on orthopedic surgery. She then returned to KC and began her career with Sano Orthopedics as an Orthopedic Navigator/Athletic Trainer alongside Dr. Matt Daggett. After several years in this position, she then went on to further her education and obtained her Masters of Physician Associate degree from Wichita State University.
Brecken was attracted to Sano Orthopedics due to its innovative outlook on orthopedic surgery and its focus on delivering exceptional whole-patient care. Although she kept her options open to other specialties while in PA school, Brecken’s unwavering love for orthopedic surgery ultimately led her back to Sano.
Brecken’s passions are preventative care, patient education, and value-based leadership. “I strive to educate patients on their diagnosis and all of their treatment options. I want to empower patients to play an active role in their healthcare decision-making and make them feel as if we [patient and provider] are a team working towards the same goal.”
Sano Orthopedics Physician Assistants have experience in treating orthopedic injuries and pain. They are typically paired with one of our orthopedic surgeons to help manage consistency of care. They work either in clinic and/or surgery to provide quality care for our patients.
