What is an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm?

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) occurs when a part of the aorta, the body’s main artery, becomes too large or balloons outward due to weakness in the artery wall.

Are You At Risk for AAA?

Diseases and unhealthy behaviors that damage your heart and blood vessels increase your risk for aortic aneurysm. Smoking is one of the most prevalent risks.

Other factors include

  • High blood pressure
  • High blood cholesterol
  • Atherosclerosis (hardened arteries)

Our vascular specialists can provide comprehensive care and treatment to prevent rupture and reduce risk.
