The United States healthcare system is broken. Not strained. Not struggling. Broken. For too many patients, healthcare has become increasingly expensive, complex, and difficult to navigate. Costs continue to rise while outcomes often fail to keep pace. Providers and healthcare workers are facing unprecedented levels of frustration and burnout. Patients are left feeling confused, disconnected, and overwhelmed by a system that too often reacts to illness instead of helping people stay healthy.
The reality is that incremental change is no longer enough. Healthcare doesn’t need another small adjustment. It needs transformation. Ten years ago, we founded Sano with a simple belief: there is a better way.
We believed healthcare could be more affordable, more coordinated, and more focused on helping people achieve and maintain optimal health. We believed that by aligning care around the entire patient journey, rather than isolated episodes of treatment, we could create a better experience and better outcomes. That vision became the foundation of what we call the Sano Circle: prevention, wellness, injury, and intervention. Rather than viewing healthcare as a series of disconnected transactions, we set out to build an infrastructure that brings these elements together. By creating stronger alignment and coordination across the continuum of care, we can help patients move through their health journey with greater confidence, clarity, and support.
Over the past decade, we have seen the impact of that investment. We’ve expanded locations. We’ve welcomed new providers. We’ve advanced our surgical capabilities. We’ve launched wellness initiatives designed to help people stay healthy, not simply recover after they become sick or injured.
But we’re not done.
While we aren’t perfect, our purpose is. The need to transform outpatient healthcare has never been greater, and we believe meaningful change will come from those willing to challenge the status quo and build something better. We do not believe the solution will come solely from Washington, D.C., a large hospital system, or an insurance company. We believe it will come from organizations willing to rethink what healthcare can be.
Organizations willing to be bold. Organizations willing to be daring. Organizations willing to put patients first. The next decade belongs to organizations willing to rethink what’s possible.
At Sano, we’re not simply building clinics. We’re building an integrated model of care designed around prevention, wellness, access, and outcomes. More importantly, we are building a movement in healthcare. A movement that challenges outdated assumptions, aligns incentives around health rather than volume, and places patients at the center of every decision.
That future depends on the people who choose to pursue it. We have been fortunate to surround ourselves with individuals who share a belief in continuous improvement, collaboration, and meaningful change. People who embody our commitment to the pursuit of better, demonstrate the spirit of a team player, and bring passion to the important work of transforming healthcare. Together, we believe we can make a difference, not only in the communities we serve today, but in helping shape a stronger healthcare system for the future.
The future is not something that happens to us. It is something we create.
